All you need to know about Weight Loss
"Weight loss" is a phrase that seems to be on the lips and minds of almost everybody, whether they are teenagers, mothers, fathers, girlfriends, models, body builders, and spiritual guides! Weight loss is actually a medical term, and it refers to the loss of the total weight of the body, and this may include a loss of water, fat in the body, bone and mineral deposits, muscles, tendons and other such body tissues. However, most common people don't refer to weight loss in the context of bone loss or fluid loss, but more with regards to loss of body fat.
People try their level best to lose weight and they do so for a variety of reasons which may include looking fit and slim, honing their body, medical issues, building stamina and strength, body building and even fitting into tighter jeans! These days, in the current world of instant coffee and fast paced living, people go to any length to get their body weight reduced as fast as possible. So much so, that weight loss programs and weight loss centers have become actual businesses and thrive on the anxiety and impatience of their customers. Weight loss is not necessarily a healthy trend, as most people would expect to hear. Weight loss could occur due to the onset of a disease, or due to poor eating habits. This is generally not good for the body. Weight loss becomes a good thing for the body only when it is done in a way that is natural for the body, ad allows their body to understand and cope up with the changes. This way, you can almost guarantee that there will be no side effects of quick weight loss, like stretch marks and loose, saggy skin.
The most important thing t keep in mind when on a weight loss regimen, is that weight loss can harm you if you try to overdo things. Dieting is fine, as long as you know to draw a clear cut line differentiating dieting and starvation. It's always best to diet in stages for anyone who is beginning their diet. An entire day without any food and only water will surely destroy a glutton's otherwise active digestive system! Water is important while dieting, and fruit juices are the best ways to start and end your weekly diet day. Fruit juices rarely end up as fat that is stored in the body; rather they will prevent your stomach from developing ulcers, acidity and other such starvation related complications. Remember that it is better to diet smart, than to diet hard!
The other most important facet of weight loss is exercise! It might be the most dreaded part of your weight loss regimen, but you will have to exercise to help your body lose the weight naturally. Like dieting, exercise must also be done in steps and one must not try to run 8 kilometers on his first day on the treadmill! It is also important to exercise the entire body while working out, so that it is not only the stomach that gets toned, but the entire body will accustom and re-condition itself to the new fitness schedule. You don't want to have a slim stomach and a fat neck do you?! Over all body exercise will make sure that your body's proportionality will be maintained as well.
Other things to keep in mind while on a weight loss marathon, is not to exercise or over work the body during dieting days, to eat well during exercise days, to drink more water and less alcohol/beer (beer and alcohol causes the body to grapple on to weight and fat in more ways than one can imagine), eat fresh fruits and vegetables, and most importantly get enough sleep. It is a healthy sleep that will make sure that you digest all your food and kick out reserves of fat for energizing purposes the next day!
